Light-Filtering and Room Darkening Options for Cellular Shades
Cellular shades or honeycomb blinds come in a wide range of colors and opacities, giving you a full range of lighting options. Either lighten your room and diffuse light or block out natural light completely with room-darkening shades.
Light-filtering cellular shades are available in single, double, and triple cell counts or cell number. While all of these shades will allow homeowners to block direct sun while still controlling natural light, individuals still need to consider the cell counts and colors. Darker colors and larger cell counts will let in a little less light than light-diffusing cellular shades with single cell widths and lighter colors. On the other hand, higher cell counts are more effective at insulating against solar heat.
Room Darkening cellular shades come in a wide range of colors and cell counts, too. Unlike light-diffusing honeycomb shades, however, room darkening shades are equally as effective with any cell count. Darker colors provide darker rooms and the opacities are optimal for privacy at night.
